Expectations for Parents and Guardians
DIGI builds year over year, from 8th grade through 12th grade, so your family is part of a five-year journey. These commitments keep you close to what your scholar is building, and we work with every family's schedule and circumstances.
Attend Orientation
Join the Parent and Scholar Orientation at the start of each program year so your family knows the plan, the people, and the path ahead.
Support Attendance
Help your scholar get to in-person Saturday sessions and log on to virtual sessions on time and ready to learn.
Give 10 Volunteer Hours
Each family contributes 10 volunteer hours per program year, whether at DIGI events, on service projects, or with behind-the-scenes help.
Stay Connected
Read DIGI updates, share feedback through short family surveys, and reach out to our team whenever questions come up.
Expectations for Scholars
Every DIGI scholar is part of a team. Scholars grow through Tech, Life, Culture, Service, and Mentor, and they are supported by an A-Team made up of their mentor and a peer group.
Show Up Ready
Attend in-person and virtual sessions on time, prepared, and ready to try something new.
Respect Your Team
Treat peers, mentors, and partners with respect, and work alongside your A-Team to help everyone succeed.
Own Your Part
Complete your work and contribute your piece to the shared capstone projects your cohort builds together.
Serve Your Community
Take part in service projects that give back to the neighborhoods we call home, including our food security work.
